GENERAL INFORMATION: Has winter burst your water pipes? Make sure you add temporary patches prior to thawing them. If the pipe is metal you can thaw it using a hair dryer, a heat lamp, even a heating pad will do. Be careful not to let the pipes get too hot to touch, they could explode if the water boils.
If the pipe is plastic, wrap towels around the broken/cracked areas and pour boiling water over them until the ice melts.
